Churches use ChurchSense to keep attendance, giving totals, follow-up and reports in good order. This page explains what it keeps, which services help run it, and what it stores in your browser. It shows no advertising. The terms of use cover how ChurchSense may be used.

What ChurchSense keeps

  • Your account: your email address, name, preferred name, phone number, title and time zone, and your roles in each church you belong to.
  • Follow-up records that a church's team enters about newcomers: names and contact details, and optionally details such as age group, occupation and who invited them, with notes on follow-up conversations. Only people with the right role at that church can see them.
  • Attendance as counts per service, never names. Giving as totals per category, never who gave.
  • A record of changes (who changed what, and when), so a church can see how its records were kept.

Each church manages its own records. To correct something a church holds about you, or to ask about it, contact that church's ChurchSense administrator.

Services that help run it

  • Paruto ID (id.paruto.com), the sign-in shared by Paruto's apps, checks who you are with a passkey or an emailed code and tells ChurchSense your verified email address. It keeps its own record of your passkeys and sign-ins.
  • Cloudflare hosts the app and keeps your ChurchSense sessions, and its Turnstile check protects the demo from automated abuse.
  • Supabase stores the data.
  • Resend sends invitation emails and the scheduled reports a church sets up.
  • Your browser's push service delivers notifications, if you turn them on. They carry a title, a short message and a link.
  • Anthropic (Claude) writes AI insights when a church uses them. It receives only totals and scores (attendance, newcomers, follow-up progress, reporting and Ministry Health), with church, location and service names. Never people's names, contact details, notes or giving amounts.

Analytics

ChurchSense uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and measure how quickly pages load. It uses no cookies and doesn't follow you across sites. It sees the address of the page you opened (without anything after a ?), the page that linked you there, your browser and device type, your country, and timing measurements.

It isn't loaded at all if your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, or on pages whose address points to a person, an invitation or a shared report.

ChurchSense also counts, per day, how many times each step of signing up happens: the home page being seen, the demo being opened, "Continue with Paruto ID" being pressed, a new or returning sign-in, and a church being set up or joined. These are totals only, with nothing about who you are, your device or your address. The home page count isn't sent under Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.

Cookies and storage on your device

  • Cookies keep you signed in (until you close the browser if you don't tick "Stay signed in") and remember which church you last opened. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
  • Preferences stay in your browser: appearance and dark-mode depth, the sidebar, haptics, whether you've seen the tour or install guide, and attendance you've started but not yet saved.
